The Cadre Corner Studios have been working in the business field for a short while now as you know... we have the opportunity to have the Cadre Corner on books as an actual Publisher Brand.
I want to know your thoughts... the fans, friends and trust individuals which have brought any and all success to our little Corner with your support and encouragement.
Depending on the answer here... a new poll will be posted in response.

Jesse,
I would go for it but in the same aspect keep your options open. In this industry you have to go forth and you have some great ideas so I say run with them. you know that you can come under the KSE banner. I can speak for Randy and say you would be a welcome addition.

Cadre, you should because we can't let PREVIEWS/Diamond screw us and force the small press/independent comics companies out of business! Show them that we will fight it!

not exactly sure what us doing some publishing ourselves will do when it comes to Previews but thanks for the support. Besides, we will be hoping to run in Previews... lol. Unless someone else comes along that is... Cadre, you should because we can't let PREVIEWS/Diamond screw us and force the small press/independent comics companies out of business! Show them that we will fight it!

Why not? i know you personally have a great SOLID style that is not lost in being stylized. Now if you have a whole studio, with good fundamentals, and not worried about rendering an image to death , so that they can be the next Capullo, or Mad, then you should do it. That is the reason why i went back to reading DC. They aren't too worried about the over stylized artists right now, they're just trying to make books, and so should you. Even if it's a low print run which you only sell at cons and local comic shops. It will be YOU'RE tiltle, and YOU'RE decisions on that title. You have a chance to create the book that you have always wanted to do, no holds barred! So why not do it?!!!

Even if you only start with what you think is your top. most solid book i say go for it. That way you can test the waters, learn from the experience and go from there. *S* Best of luck.

As a self publisher myself with my partner whoe is the writer in the book we do. It's tough...make sure you have a viable printer and distributer but if that is being taken care by a publisher ..really lok into them and see what they are all about and find any one who has experiance with them. Get as much info as your can before you sign the dotted line. See what rights you have as creator etc. See wwhat percentage they take and wher will the books be placed and how is the marketing of it going to be handled. Just remember there are publishers out there that will want to just make a quick buck. ..my own persaonal ting is to see what quality are of th eother books they have published and what is their track record with them. If they care as much for the quailty of the books they print then they will care about your quility. If you wish to check our stuff out our site is www.quantumcomcomic.netTake it easy and best of luck

GO FOR IT MAN!! Peruvian branch here has been waiting something like this for ages. We're on it for the quality -heck, we are actually aiming at the quality of those overstylized artists mentioned above- and we got the writers, the money, the printers and the guts for it. Our projects are already going (Nandito 12 chapter miniseries is already pencilled to #5) So if you're ok with manga we back you up. We're not here just to do books, we're up to do our best. You saw and readed the Drak, we can make a try on it, print a short run in english here and sent it to you for distribution, you just give us the word! -Pol-

We need to get started as soon as possible publishing, whether or not we do it via a partner group. I know we've got plenty of decent material and good artists/writers working that we ought to be able to start a few projects on our own.

Hmmm...sounds like a good idea. Would you all be dropping your current work, i.e. Bubba, etcetera? What sorts of books would you make?

we would continue working on projects for others as well as working on Corner projects to be published so no worries there. In fact in most instances it would be the money made from working on the other projects which help in the production sots department for our own projects. Hmmm...sounds like a good idea. Would you all be dropping your current work, i.e. Bubba, etcetera? What sorts of books would you make?

Obviously I think the self publishing idea has merit 'cause that's what we are doing.... Sure the industry has it's problems...which magnified greatly in the last few months with Diamond's changes but that only means that the small press guys have got to work together closer...don't view the other guys as the enemies but instead as allies....I think that the big publishers kinda forget that. Ultimately you want FANS to be jazzed about your work and if you can work with like minds and create better product in the long run...that's all that matters...
Once the Pages of previews shrink it is my hope that Diamond rethinks their "new and improved" policies but we'll just have to wait and see won't we....
cadre...drop me an email if you have any questions about what we've accomplished, HA!...not that we've accomplished much but perhaps you can learn from my mistakes I've made in a the short time we've been publishing..
