Name your absolute favorite characters here...
Keep in mind, there are obviously different scales to think about such as coolest looking may not be the best written and vice versa.
So, on this thread, I thought everyone could write who their favorite characters are and what it is that you like about them.
Obviously, multiple anwers will result from all this.
Have fun.

Oh gosh, WHERE to start? Bubba the Redneck Werewolf (of course) *winks to Cadre* Because he is not your stereotypical werewolf and yet not P.C. Werewolf all the time and he's fine with that yet will take no gruff from anyone who's a threat to him and his human gal, Bobby-Jo. So that's Bubba for us! Superman So some people call him a big blue boy scout because he's not an anti-hero character. So? I just like what he stands for. Truth and Justice. Always helpful to everyone, no matter what color or country. Uses his powers for good. Will fight to the death for his friends (which he did when he fought Doomsday) He could take over the world if he could but he won't becauser he really care about us even though he's an alien from a planet that is no longer around. Thanks to his adoptive parents who raised him as one of us, he has come to taking care of his new home planet. He might be a strange vistor from space but I will always think of him as a hero for all of Earth and the people who live on it. Mickey Mouse Don't laugh. Mickey wasn't always the meek quiet mouse you may remember. If you look at the early comic strips, he was quite the scrapper. Always looking forward for the next adventure, he had fought the tough guys and always come out on top. He has nearly escaped death many times while saving the world. It's a far cry from the mouse that you see in the theme parks today and the later animated cartoons of the 50's. No wonder Gemstone comics (the current publisher of Disney comics) prefer the adventuresome mouse then the meek quiet mouse that he was at one time. I have more but that's all that I can say for the moment.

PUNISHER: cool look, no powers, and gets the job done
WARBLADE: awesome character that looks tough... wish they would do something with him... loved the origin in the cartoon
SILVER SURFER: great character with awesome powers
LOBO: B.A. Bruiser attitude with the abilty to back it up.
CROW (original): cool story idea and adaptable for many settings
SPIDEY: c'mon... a hero that doesn't get the girl but still does what he does... (Jesse mentioned that he got MJ, but look how long it took him... he didn't give up)
THOR: awesome medieval concept with a tough look and power to boot.

5. The Spirit - Fun character, and I don't think I've ever read a comic where the hero spends so much of his time being beaten up by generic thugs.
4. Jack Knight - More regular guy then even Spidey. He was only around for a few years, but 'ol Jack helped me realize how real acharacter can be.
3. Superman - Its Big Blue, what can I say.
2. Sam Beckett - For those not in the know, Sam in the hero of Quantum Leap. He had acomic for a brief time, so I had to include him. Sam's one of those true heros that will probably never exist but everyone will wish did. I could rant about Sam all day, but I'll move on.
1. Guy Gardner - The best GL, and the best character in my eyes. Guy's a lot like me, or the way I wish I could be. Unapologetically brash, and with the fire to always back up what he claims. Great fun to read.

Guy was definitely the most personable of all the GLs...

Captain Harlock- Because he's Captain Harlock!!! Robin(current)- No powers, a well written opposite of batman. Green Lanterns (in general)- C'mon! A power where your only limit is your imagination. Ghost Rider(70's)- Because it was a cool comic about Satan and motorcycles.Which made me think i was going to hell for reading it as a kid, and want a chopper of my own. Ash(Evil Dead)- Because Bruce Campbell is a real live comic character! Herbie(The Love Bug)- C'mon! You know you like him too!

There it is ... some wonderful lists ... and i'll add my silver dollar and raise you a gold eagle: Fav'rite characters Conan The Barbarian (... meaning of life) Darth Vader (Johnny Cash in space) General Greivous (from the comic, not from the movie - he was a wuss on screen) Darth Maul (ok, so what's a hero without a villain ?) White Queen / Emma Frost (I like her for her mind ... um yeah, right) Martian Manhunter (best of the green people) Jauggernaut (wait 'till they get a load a Vinny Jones) Vamparella (see White Queen) Sin City's Marv (nails aren't tough ...
