Hi guys! New to the boards and wanted to introduce myself My name's Freddy & I'm an illustrator from San Antonio, Tx. Been doing a lot of work for small press comics and RPG companies with a focus on digital painting and coloring. In the RPG field I've been doing some cover work and spot ilustrations. That's been a lot of fun since fantasy is what inspired me to draw in the first place ...Lately I've also been staying busy as a colorist on a few comic projects, working with other artists on some covers and pinups. You can see some of the work I've done recently at PV Comics, Dead Ends and my own site LopezStudios where I showcase my other published/unpublished works. I'll be posting some of my work soon to get your feedback and any crits you have to offer Anyway, just wanted to say hi and looking forward to participating in the discussions -Freddy

Hey Freddy and everyone else here... I'm back and ready for action... I had to take a step back (some of you know why)... now it's time to get back in action.
Freddy: Welcome to the boards, I'll be sending you some sample pics to get you going and see how you approach them... I'm sure you'll do fine.

Freddy showed me a new cover colored piece he just finished and WOW!!! It was done very very well with a lot of personality behind it... especially considering the basic original artwork he did it from... Kudos to ya Freddy! I'd love to see you post the inked and then the colored version on here somewhere. For those who don't know... Freddy is also doing some sample pieces for the Cadre Corner to become a member himself. Once he finishes the necessary samples which everyone has to go through, the Cadre Corner members will review the entries and make a call whether he is admitted in or not as a full fledge member. That's how it pretty much works for entry into the Corner. From what I've already seen, I don't see any reason why he would not be. Not up to me though... our primary color editors will get a look see and let me know what they think. I encourage others here to look over the samples that he has in the colorist samples section and let known your thoughts. That goes for all of the samples entered in the sections... whether it be writing, penciling, inking, coloring or lettering... Ciao.
